mainly happens through night and occurs maybe once every month-two months..he gets the feeling he needs to go to the toilet and his bottom really hurts like painful, not sore..he does to bathroom but cant 'do' anything.
He can go normally rest of time so dont think constipation and although wind, not loads, so dont know if its trapped wind?

He takes a co codamol and it eases?knocks him out?

Ive said today he may need more fibre, could be trapped wind and to eat more alpen with me, but i also said i would ask on here and he said yeah good idea someone on there should know...

So any one know?

IBS?

NotQuiteCockney · 08/07/2008 19:58

Sounds like piles maybe? Or worms?

PinkChick · 08/07/2008 20:00

he had a prob with piles about 5 year ago, one burst and was bleeding for days before he told me and we ended up in hosp having it sorted.

Dont know anything about worms or IBS??? it only happens once every 1-2 months so not regular???

Regular doesn't have to mean daily Chick. If its every month, then it is regular. Sounds like IBS to me too. I'd start with the fibre thing to see if that makes any difference and if not, try to get him to go to the doctors.

PinkChick · 08/07/2008 20:58

Hey Mo..how are you??

When i told him your suggestions girls, he snorted at worms, nodded head to piles and to IBS..so alpen in morning!

he said its like a dull ache around 'there' and worse when he's laid down, when he sits on toilet it eases?

I get stomache pains and a similar sounding "urge to go with no results". GP finally said it may be mild IBS. The pain is in one side so not like normal stomache ache. They thought I had PCOS at one point. I suspect that might not be an option for your DH

Lots of extra water and an easy diet for a few days usually sorts mine out.

PinkChick · 09/07/2008 09:16
