Thrush or something else?

Namechanging more to protect my friends from when they see me!

I have been sore since Saturday.

We started the day with sex (silly not to), but I wasn't overly, erm, enthused so was a little uncomfortable afterwards.

Since then I have become VERY uncomfortable and itchy. I pondered whether it was using a shower gel last week because my normal soap ran out. It feels thrushy, so I took one of those canesten pills and have some thrush cream I am using (that goes REALLY hot when I put it on, but soothing).

Today, it is still really itchy, but the pill worked within about 12 hours last time (took it yest lunch time).

BUT today I also have a discharge - not white, but sort of pinkish lumps . I'm not sure if my skin tag (I paint a lovely picture I know) got sore and has bled, and that is mixing with the discharge or what?

Anyway - does it sound thrushy? Should I give the pill longer to work, or do I have to go see a doctor?

I have found that GU clinics are much better and more thorough, that's if you can get an appointment.

When I get random irritations I found that very dilute tea-tree or salt water can sometimes help.

think maybe best to see doctor if still sore

maybe as you say you were not overly into it and maybe this has chafed you

this has happened to me and did feel like thrush and used caneston all was ok

dont use any soaps at all down there as could be irritating sore chapped skin get some bio yoghurt that will help restore some natural yeast needed

i heard diluted natural tea tree on a tampon left in for no more than an hour is supposed to work although never tried

Does it smell?

I had BV once - terrible. Be careful what you are putting on it yourself because if its not thrush and it is BV you will be making it worse.

BV? (do I want to ask that question? )

No smell. GU clinic is less personal too, it isn't like I will have to go and see them again to talk about ear infections etc
