Hi Miserymum and everyone else on this Mirena thread!

I've started this thread, Mirena part 2 as we've got to 1000 posts on the other one.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a huge period Misery, and my first thought was had your coil shifted a bit? Have you had it checked out - perhaps it moved up or down or sideways unbeknown to you, and the threads are still there making you think it hasn't?

Can you have a scan to see has it moved within your womb/ cervix, not to frighten you or anything , but mostly when people post that their periods suddenly change, the coil has moved about.

Congratulations on getting back on your team, and I hope you can get to play. It's so great to be part of a team and play competitively.

Did your gynae tell you why you have a tender womb - I'd be very interested to know if you have any further information on this as I have one also (post c-birth) but never found out what it was exactly - except that it hurts like hell during a gynae internal (and sex, )!
I also am looking at having a hysterectomy if my periods don't lighten up - I am back on the combined pill for this month to try and lighten them. TMI - I'm emptying a full mooncup every 4 hours - 15ml full, I look like a Mixture between Lady Macbeth and a stuck pig - blood everywhere! TMI totally!! Am taking spatone, extra Mg and vitamin B-complex and Omega 3 to stave off PMT and anaemia, er so far so awful this month..

Hugs to everyone!
