I took ill on Tuesday although been feeling yuck for a while, tired then started getting dizziness and nausea. I'd been to dr's and had blood tests but haven't got those results back yet.
Anyway, Tuesday I was alone in the house, dp at work kids with their dad thank goodness, and I suddenly got this excruciating pain in my right side. It was so bad I was hoping to pass out. I managed to ring my mate who was on her way back from a day out, she rang her dh so he could come over, my best mate came over and dp came out of work. Mate's dh rang the ambulance and was I glad to see them. I got gas and air then a pessary in A&E then after much shouting morphine. I was put on a ward feeling much better (drugs can be good ) and then put on another ward. I had to have a ultra sound scan yesterday which was negative but I started with high temp so they put me on anti bs and kept checking me. I felt dreadful last night but after just one anti b and a couple of hours later started to really pick up.
They've let me out today as temp is normal again and I just can't sleep in there.
I must say I know we moan about the nhs but the staff including drs were fantastic.
They think I've had a kidney stone that's passed and have kept my bed open for 24 hours in case I take ill again.

Anyone else had a kidney stone? I felt like such a wuss screaming on, I didn't make that much fuss in childbirth

Renal colic is known medically as the nearest men will ever get to childbirth so you're not a wuss.
