I had a copper coil put in in may and I am having my period but it started last monday and I am still bleeding, my periods used to last 4-5 days. And its quite painful too

It takes a while for the coil to settle down - I found my periods ended up the same as before and not painful, but it does take a bit of getting used to! I'm having a new one fitted when I get my next period, so I'll be in the same boat as you. If you are at all worried, speak to your doctor. It really isn't worth fretting.

I hope things settle down soon!
