Ibruprofen and Paracetemol - what's teh difference?

I've been taking paracetemol for pain relief as that was what was advised when I started breastfeeding 13 months ago.
I give DD calpol because that was what I was advised.

However, am going on my hols and looking at some of the threads here re: what to pack in terms of medicines, people mention paracetemol and ibruprofen.

Just wondering what's the difference and whether I should be expanding DD's pain relief options (not bothered about mine as I'm very tolerant of pain and discomfort. )

wendy, doesn't it rip up your stomach if you're hungover? or do you combine it with a fry-up?

best cure for a hangover is to sweat. do some exercise, even if it first makes you puke. just drink lots of water.

I think you're supposed to take it before you go to bed, expat, because it stops your brain swelling or something? (it was Countess Drac who once posted that, she is plainly a hangover expert so I always do it now!)

ah! my dad's was always asprin, but that has anti-inflammatory properties, too.

if i'm that drunk i'd usually just stay up.
