hugs to mieow and misdee

My daughter has a similar problem to your brother but her lower oesophageal sphincter didn't allow food into her stomach. She had an op which sorted it out to some extent but a girl we met over the internet had the same problem complicated by a stricture which developed following prior treatment.

Hope your brother comes through it ok.

i am a bad sister. we went to see him and i couldnt stay. seeing him with tube up his nose and not able to speak, and looking awful scared me. brother knows how much i hate hospitals, and tbh i wasnt preppared to see him like that. with dh i know waht i'm facing when he has his major op, but i wasnt preparted at all. mieow was good and stayed with my parents for about an hr whilst i saw dh upstairs. mum was quite upset.

of course you're not misdee - it's the hardest thing in the world seeing someone you love like that. some of us cope better than others, that's all.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.
