Nay. Don't mess with your ears. And don't stick anything in them which is smaller than your elbow.

I worked for a consultant in this area and he always recommended warm olive oil dropped into ear and plugged with cotton wool. This softens the wax. HTH

you won't regret it. Its the nicest thing ever. My SIl is just training to do it and I want her to practise on me!
