Puzzled by DD1's chicken pox

My DD1 was not very well over the weekend.
Had a high temp 39c for almost 2 days, calpol not helping much and did not eat, but had lots of water.
Anyway, went to school on Monday and was fine and yesterday in the space of half an hour she came out in little red spots all over! Was quite shocked at the speed of it.
Saw the teacher and she said it looked like chickenpox (lots of it going around at the school) and said she should stay home for 7 days.
This morning was expecting the spots to be worse but they have faded quite a lot and none have turned into blisters.
Does this mean she can go back to school or do i still keep her in?
Can't do anything at the moment as i can't take her out and if we see anyone, it's not obvious that she has chickenpox.

it does not sound like chicken pox. more like a viral rash. can you get doc or HV to have a look?

It doesn't sound like chicken pox to me. The spots usually start to blister after a day, with further batches gradually appearing. Could possibly be a virus - they often have rashes associated with them, especially with the high temperature. My doctor told me once, that it is one way a child's body deals with a high temperature.

Just given my DD1 a bath and she and her sister decided to be "pigs" and paddle in a mud puddle they made in the garden
After her bath, DD1 still seems to have the spots as the warm water has made them come up again.
Suppose i'll have to keep her off school for the rest of the week.

i would take her to the docs, a week of school for something that might be heat rash is not appropriate
