My DS 3 1/2 has had a really nasty virus and cough since Saturday and is eating very little, I went with the flow at first but he really isn't eating still. He's having plenty of fluids and sleep but just doesn't want food. Yesterday he ate a couple of spoons of cereal, a couple of spoons of pasta and a chocolate biscuit and today a couple of spoons of cereal and a fruit puree and it's been much the same since Saturday? Should i be calling the dr again?

no, this is normal.Sounds like he is eating a bit anyway and drinking a lot so that's all you need to worry about. He will catch up sonner or later.

My dd doesn't eat much more than that on a good day! When she is off colour I tend to just let her pick and choose what she wants - forget 'good' and bad' food. Treat foods like ice cream often go down well. Keep an eye on the fluids though - sometimes I can sneak in a milkshake or a smoothie without tham noticing!

Minadex tonic is a good appetite booster and will also give vitamins/minerals til she's feeling better. As the others say, fluids more important.
