Colonoscopy handhold

I have been informed I need a colonoscopy. Unsure of the date yet. I am emetephobic and terrified I will feel or be sick during the prep/procedure/after. Any advice or positive stories?

Try not to worry op my Dh has had many colonoscopy procedures never vomited, the preparation drink the day before can sometimes taste bitter or sweet depends on taste buds I would imagine he found it easier having alternate sips of the drink with water you will be fine hope you get the appointment soon💐

Try adding lemon and lime cordial to the prep. Keep the mix in the fridge and drink with a straw. Drink full fat 7up/Sprite in between to keep your blood sugar levels ok as you will be fasting for a day or so just before the procedure.

Won't lie I did get nauseous a bit with the prep the first couple of times (no actual vomit). I was given Picolax for my last one which was much less volume than the ones I'd had previously and that seemed to help. Definitely worth discussing your options at the pre-op appointment.
