Ouch! Sore and painful feet, what socks would you recommend?

As it says in title, I have really sore and painful feet.
Size 7, really bony, bunions from my 80s footwear choices, arthritis in every joint.

Don't shout at me but I wear Crocs whenever I can and have no pain at all. This summer has been wonderful.
I have Crocs boots and trainers and they are ok but after a couple of hours the pain is back.
Can anyone please recommend some some comfortable socks that can give a cushion against the restrictions of boots and shoes?
Oh I have DM boots, but these days hey need some padding too.
iI have tried all the Hotter, Pavers, DB shoes, Heavenly Feet and DMs are the best but only for a few hours.

I hate my feet but wearing 4in black patent stilettos 👠 was such fun! back then I cared more about style than comfort. 😉☺️

M&S do some padded ankle socks in a pack of about 3. They might help, it’s the toes and heels which are padded.

Look at padded inner soles .. . They have made a big difference in comfort for me

No shoe recommendations but have you seen a podiatrist? You might need an orthotic insole to relieve pressure in certain areas.

I love Hilly double layer socks, and the 1000 mile double layer hiking socks. What made a massive difference to my foot comfort was 3d printed insoles and hydroluronic acid injected in my big toe joint by a podiatrist- it’s lasted nearly a year and made an unbelievable improvement in my pain

I'm a little scared to admit this in MN as last time I mentioned it I was accused of being a troll with a foot fetish!
I can't abear my feet being touched! It makes me cringe and very angry. I think it must be like misphonia, where something is unbearable.
I think I will ring around and explain though I'm very embarrassed.

Poor you! Sorry you're suffering. I used to wear silly shoes but now only really wear vivobarefoot which has kept incipient bunions at bay. I would look at barefoot shoes and insoles. I'd recommend these socks from Calzedonia; not thick but very soft and comfortable
