I have external piles and they've been flared up for over a week now. It also feels like there's this pressure and deep aching around my buttocks, groin and sometimes my thighs. Like maybe there's more swollen veins than just the piles or something? It's so uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this? It's really concerning me as the whole area is uncomfortable and I can't sit properly. My pelvic floor is a mess and I'm waiting for specialist physio. I've been trying to do kegals and stretches but I don't know if I'm doing them right, I'm finding it hard.

I've also got a bad cold atm and feel awful. 😭

To add, I went to the gp as there's an area in my groin that's tender to touch but she said it's just a reactive lymph node due to inflammation.

Hi, I’m sorry this is miserable. TMI incoming - I was having issues with needing the toilet all the time and things feeling different down there internally and generally. I thought it was pelvic floor and or prolapse issues. I went to the doctor and to a pelvic floor specialist and had various investigations all of which made me feel it was in my head, but eventually one of the scans I had in relation to my womb lining for my coil led a medical professional to say I had congested pelvis syndrome which it seems can cause the issues I have around needing the toilet a lot and also the same aching / throbbing you reference. It took ages and I felt totally gaslit until I got the diagnosis - medical professionals kept saying train your bladder or perimenopause is an anxious time when I said things felt different… anyway, your issue might not be that but it’s worth looking into. Apparently, they can treat the internal veins relatively easily, although I have not yet decided whether to push for this myself.
