Recurring breast abscess in same place, anyone had this repeatedly?

Breast abscess has returned for a third time, exactly the same place as the previous ones. Never had issues until the first one came out of the blue last year. No known cause found on mammogram earlier this year and feel a bit like because that has been ok they just keep saying it's "one of those things and we don't always know why." This is my third time being off sick due to it in 12 months. Each time I am having to go to A&E as waiting two weeks for breast clinic appointment following GP referral but after a few days it escalates to spreading redness, lump and feeling shivery which makes me worry about sepsis. Not breastfeeding, kids are grown up, not a smoker, not diabetic. It has needed aspirating each time under ultrasound, a combination of various antibiotics which ends up costing me a fortune as they will add another three days worth at reviews etc. And I have felt so unwell each time with the infection. Has anyone else had this at all? Seems very unusual to keep getting it back with no explanation. I don't know what to do about work. I am conscious this is my third episode of being off in 12 months but I feel so rubbish despite having the aspiration and starting antibiotics again

They aren't clearing the infection completely so it recurrs. Either that or you've some kind of foreign body in there which is causing the abscess in the first place. The delay in getting antibiotics each time won't be helping. I'll DM you.

At the age of 47, I had a recurring breast abscess under my right nipple.
Not breastfeeding not a smoker etc
It was opened and drained under general anaesthetic at my local hospital,
But then recurred
I was referred to the breast clinic, had a biopsy and mammogram.

Ended up being a blocked milk duct so I had a surgery known as a Hadfields procedure to remove the ducts, no issues since!
