I'm 2 years postpartum and my c section scar is a dodgy looking one because the surgery was so brutal. I have a couple of areas where the skin above and below it never faded and still looks dark pink. I was told the skin is thinner in those areas. Last night my waistband must have been rubbing and I was surprised to see that the skin had torn and was bleeding. Not the scar itself just the thin skin around it. It's a shallow cut and there's a little flap of skin, I've bandaged it up. How can I care for this area to avoid it happening again?
