Dizziness on antidepressants

I’ve recently tried afew antidepressants and they all make me feel so dizzy when I start them, to the point I had to stop the first two, and now I’m on my third - this time fluoxetine. I’m dizzy to the point I am unable to safely drive or leave the house on my own. Did anyone else experience this to start with and it improved?

Yes on citalopram. It went after a couple of weeks. I had brain zaps too. I've been off them years but remember it.

Can you safely get to work without driving? It's best to keep trying with the medication.

Is this for anxiety? What else are you doing to help yourself? Try to be kind to yourself whilst you're trying to heal.

How are you doing @Shop90 ?

Thanks for checking in @NigellasNeck- this is for anxiety which has worsened since I had my baby 10 months ago and postnatal depression. I am still dizzy, also nauseous, increased anxiety, and feeling generally wired. I know the side effects can be bad for afew weeks then should subside and I’m only 6 days in. But I feel so poorly on all of them, I find it difficult to get through those first few weeks. I can’t work feeling like this, I’ve had to take time off sick which isn’t good but I also needed to put my health first.
Speaking to my doctor tomorrow about staying on current dose (10mg) as I know she was going to discuss increasing to 20mg but I doubt I can tolerate a higher one for a while. Thanks for your insight on your experience, it’s been helpful :)

@Shop90 I really feel for you. Your hormones will be all over the place 💐
Do you have much support?
Are you eating properly? I know how easy it is to neglect yourself when you have a baby. Vitamins and protein may help?

I do yoga nidra to relax. Plus the gym. Yoga nidra is on YouTube. Some videos are just 10 minutes. It's a fab distraction. No movement it's more a meditation.
