There’s a high % of recalls on first mammograms as they’ve nothing to compare it to. The lady that did mine was basically saying prepare to be called back as a lot are. I didn’t get called back but when I read up, so so many people do get recalled and most called back are not anything sinister.

Its really common apparently, but still scares the shit out of you for weeks. Mine was fine, a calcification and a lipoma. Be brave @flamingoleg
Hopefully all will be well 🥰

It may well be nothing, but if it is, thank goodness you did go and thank goodness they've called you. 3 of my friends have been diagnosed at a routine mammogram,.all so early that they would never have found it themselves or had symptoms. All were treated and are still here, living well. Big hugs and hope it all goes well.

My friend & I both got a recall after our first mammogram, we were both fine. Repeat mammogram & scan. Because it's your first, they have nothing to compare. Try not to worry. Good luck.💐

Happened to me too. I had a repeat mammogram which showed up what they thought was a cyst, then a quick scan to check it was, then they drained it. All done within a couple of hours.

If it’s a breast clinic ring them and ask to be contacted if there are any cancellation slots. I only waited two days.

I had the same , but in my
case they did find a lump which was cancer , biopsies and a removal by local anaesthetic and on with my life , another check up a year later and all is well , best wishes to you 💕

I've had my 1st mammogram age 40 when I lived abroad and another in the UK a few years later. Both times, I was recalled because they had nothing to compare to. Nothing sinister was found on either.

What mental health support are you having for your anxiety OP? I'd be trying to focus on getting help for that as a priority. Wishing you all the best with your scans x
