PIP for awareness seizures?

I’m applying for PIP due to epilepsy, which frequently causes me to have awareness seizures. I have had a grande mal seizure in the past and a number of focal impaired seizures, but generally have focal aware seizures.

I feel like a bit of a fraud for applying because I know that people have this 100 times worse than me. I can’t even imagine having unpredictable grande mal seizures. Mine seem so minor in comparison, however they do massively impact me in a number of ways.

Has anyone been successful in applying for PIP for epilepsy if they ‘only’ have focal awareness seizures? Not sure if I’m just wasting everyone’s time.

PIP is hard to get and you'll need a lot of supporting evidence as to how it impacts your life, so if you apply and it's awarded it's definitely not a case of "only" smaller seizures.

Apply and see. PIP is incredibly hard to get. If you do get it granted then you obviously need not feel guilty.

Pip is a benefit you get for the help you need not the condition. Eg my dd (adult) has seizures so can’t be in the bath without supervision (in reality she showers) and has an alert bracelet

I don't know much about these seizures but it's about how it affects you rather than what you have. Can you cook/toilet/dress/read and understand things/physically walk around/plan journeys etc? They look at those things and whether you can do them safely, reliably, repeatedly and in the time it may take in comparison to someone without any challenges. (The above is not a perfect description. It gives you an idea, you should look at the pip descriptors)
