I finally got hold of some coal tar for DD's psoriasis, can I put it on her face?

Title says it all really! She has got excema/psoriasis on her face so I think the cream was really meant for her psoriasis patches on her elbows but wondered if it was safe to try it on her face. She's 21m btw.

It is such an enigma....one doctor I saw told me that it can be triggered off by a sore throat...

Oh wow it is hard to know what causes it then! I was told its genetic probably but that still doesn't explain why she's got it so young. I will wait and see what the psoriasis association sends me and learn more about it. Thanks everyone for telling me about your experiences, I think you find out most from others with it or parents.
