Can a GP prescribe a stronger cream for persistent ringworm?

I came down with a skin infection, looks like ringworm months ago. Back in April. I was using an over the counter cream. My issue is that I was not consistent with it. This was mainly due to my work. Every day and every week is different. I work as a carer and sometimes the role just gets too demanding. Even where employment laws are broken. I never walked or went to employment solicitors.

I went to my doctor in June thinking maybe there would be a stronger cream and lamsil over the counter was prescribed.

I applied that and sometimes I would get into a routine of applying that for up to a week or more and then just stop. Something would come up or my day was too long. Some people would argue it would only take a minute but that is too simple. It's not a minute. There is changing clothes, hand washing etc. You are talking to someone who is hardly allowed to sit down for lunch.

I bought the athletes foot once only cream recently thinking I will apply that once every few days until it's gone.

The thing is I have ringworm on my two inside thighs. It was clearing on one side but it's still not gone. The other side my leg got very itchy and then my leg started burning and I was hardly able to move last week. So I stopped using the once only cream on that side.

I am so sick of dealing with this. It's life getting in the way preventing me from applying the stuff correctly for two weeks or more.

I am wondering if I go to a different GP would there be a stronger cream available.

I'd like to know if there is.
I got a patch on my leg last year. Used OTC cream religiously morning and night to no avail. Saw a pharmacist who said they couldn't give anything stronger and I needed a GP ( I am immune suppressed). GP said see a pharmacist. Repeat, repeat. I never even got to see a HCP .
Eventually it did clear with lamisil but it took months of daily use.
Now I have it again in the same place.

I’m sure a GP can prescribe stronger stuff but you’ll still need to use it regularly.

I get recurring ringworm. The last time, My doctor recommended I get a cream from the chemist; Daktacort, I think it was. It sorted it out.

I used that cream too. The problem I have is that I am not consistent with applying the stuff. I might be consistent for a few days then I stop and then restart again.

I am not intentional in this by the way. Sometimes just too much gets in the way of basic care for myself.

Are you 100% sure it's ringworm? I was treating patches all over my legs and feet trying cream after cream from the doctor's with no success.

Eventually I got a referral to a dermatologist for a skin wound that wasn't healing and mentioned I was struggling to clear it while there (one patch was near the wound) and he said it's granuloma annulare not ringworm.

They look very similar but granuloma annulare will grow bigger and bigger before just going away on its own after about 2 years. I had more than 10 patches which are now all gone with no further treatment, though a new patch started on my foot a few months ago.

This. Anti fungal and hydrocortisone. Can buy over counter.
Use a fungal wash on clothes also. Eg halo
