My poor 5month old ds is in teething hell - how many days can I give calpol/nurofen for?

I know it says on the bottle 3 days but can you give them for longer than that - up to a week maybe? He is an extremely bad teether, and namby-pamby teething powders and bonjela just don't do anything . I don't like to give him painkillers too much and I am restricting them to nighttime. His bouts of teething can last up to a week.

I gave calpol whenever DS needed it for teething, sometimes every night for over a week. Why not phone HV and see what she says? Will put your mind at rest if nothing else.
