Has anyone heard of this or have any of babies been diagnosed?

TIA.

CurrentBM, I have never heard of it. Can you explain? Was the newborn crying a lot and very sensitive or does it go beyond that?

CurrantBM · 30/06/2008 12:21

Blueshoes, My cousin has just had a baby, and he has been admitted to hospital as he is having convulsions. So far tests show that these are not "true epileptic seizures" but maybe something that that newborns grow out of.

If he is convulsing and he is touched or cuddled they stop. They are currently running more tests and investigations, I just thought maybe someone else had experience or knowledge of this.

Thanks for your reply.

currantBM, thanks for the explanation. I suppose if it is stopped by cuddles then it is potentially an emotional rather than physical response?

I am sorry I am no help. Bumping up for someone more knowledgeable.
