I was delighted to find an NHS dentist after a few years without one, less delighted to be told that I needed significant root canal treatment and that in my area, this isn't covered under the NHS.
Desperate not to lose (another!) molar, I opted to go privately and was referred to an endotontic practice, where I paid almost a month's income having the work done. I've since found out that two people I know have had root canal treatment on the NHS at other practices in the same town, so it seems that they will pay for it, although I realise that it may depend on the complexity of the work.
Does anyone know how I can find out what the truth of the matter is?
Tx.
