Looking for any insight, a bit of hope and a bit of a hand hold…
last Friday I had a random spell of dizziness out of the blue while walking with my children, I sort of swayed to one side suddenly as if I’d just got off of a boat. I balanced myself out but the light headed was continued after and still continues today a week later.
im dizzy but not in the sense the room is spinning. Feels like I’m a couple of drinks tipsy and am swaying a bit when I’m doing daily activities. Much better if I’m sat still or laying down. Eyes feel very tired.
im a worrier anyway, and I don’t know if it feels worse because I am constantly aware and assessing but the sensation is definitely there.
went to the gp on Tuesday as this was ongoing. He said possibly vertigo, ears looked clear, both eyes showed slight mild nystagmus - he gave me some prochlorperazine pills. Said to come back in a couple of weeks if ongoing. Have been taking these and not seeing much of a difference.
symptoms feel worse during the first half of the day compared to the late afternoon evening.
had physio last night to try and release some shoulder and neck tension which has maybe made it feel slightly better.
the thing is I hate feeling like this. It’s stressing me so much and now with no improvement I’m starting to wonder if there’s something terrible wrong. Dr Google has put thoughts of MS and brain tumour in my head and now I just feel so worried.
to top it off I have a girls trip planned next weekend. Big celebration so lots of late nights, drinking and dancing planned, plus a flight. I just so want to feel better but I’ve got myself in such an anxious state now.
anybody been through similar and can suggest any remedies/thoughts I’d be so grateful.
