Body composition scales

So I know these are far from accurate but I use them to see the general ‘trend’ in body fat, muscle composition etc.
My bmi is low and yet my subcutaneous fat is high. Thing is I don’t really want or need to loose weigh, but would like the sf to be in the ‘average’ category rather than high for health reasons. How much notice would you pay to this?

None. I’m close to the lower end of normal bmi after losing a lot of weight a few years ago. My scales claim my body fat is towards the upper limit of ‘acceptable’ and subcutaneous fat is high. I tried losing even more weight, and even when I went down to ‘underweight’ bmi, my subcutaneous fat was still ‘high’. No doubt there’s a little fat under my excess of loose skin, but short of surgery to remove it, I’m stuck with being both skinny and fat!

yer I think the only way to get a closer result is with a dexa scan. It’s just a bit annoying as would like it to be lower.
