Does anyone suffer from under breast soreness (Intertrigo)

First year I have had it and it's driving me crazy I have tried everything Dr Google recommends like washing the area every day and patting dry and wearing a cotton bra I used a cream the pharmacist recommended a generic version of Canesten and also one from ebay which specialises in it but nothing is working. It's not weepy or anything like that so I don't think it's serious enough to see my GP about but it is very uncomfortable I am HOPING it will go away once the weather has cooled down but would welcome any tips or advice

I suffered from this occasionally in the past. The Canesten spray worked better than cream, I found.

After showering and getting dry, apply a cooling medicated talcum powder (the one I use is on Amazon and is blue/yellow and aimed at diabetics) but it is honestly amazing- it'll clear it up then a little daily keeps it away. Can't check name as not at home x

Definitely yes to Hibiscrub (I think it’s also sold as Hibiwash now?). Anyway it’s wonderful as it deals with bacteria, viruses and fungal spores, so covers the lot.

You can buy it from pharmacies like Boots.

I use Daktarin gold cream and it really helps. You have to ask over the counter for it.

I have this. It cracks. It is incredibly sore. I don't have it all the time though. It seems more infrequent since I moved to a soft water area. I was unsure if It is because I have big boobs or linked to my ethnicity. I usually pat dry and use some vaseline, but might invest in some talc mentioned once I've done a bit of research. Rapid relief hoped for everyone.

I got this on holiday because it was so humid. I had to go and buy 'jock itch' cream as I couldnt find caneston. It sorted it out though.

@Oldsu thanks for posting - I literally came on here to ask the same questions and thought I'd do a search first to see if anyone else was suffering.

It's also a new complaint for me. Like you I'm hoping the temperatures cooling will help but I have a 32 G bust (even larger than it was pre menopause!) and I do keep fairly active, which given I sweat a lot anyway, just adds to the problem.

I'm taking a list of the suggestions above to Boots tomorrow. I have tried looking for cotton bras but getting nowhere. Partly due to size, and also because anything I find just looks like it will create a mono-boob by squashing my breasts together which I would imagine will not help matters.

When I had Intertrigo I needed a course of antibiotics, it can be bacterial instead of fungal

I get this a lot, especially in warmer weather. Canesten Hydrocortisone cream seems to clear it up overnight for me.

I cleared it up with a combination of canesten and hydrocortisone cream. Shower/wash daily with unscented soap, pat dry, baby powder.

If I don't wear a clean bra every day it creeps back.

@wanderingfreely sainsburys do cotton bras for DD+ they look a cross between crop top and sports bra and very comfortable, black, grey or white.
Slightest redness/soreness and I use Lanes tea tree and witch hazel cream........gone within 24 hours!

I have finally been free of this for a couple of years now but the solution is that every morning when I get dressed I tuck a clean thin cotton cloth inside and under my bra, just under my boobs. If I feel myself getting sweaty then I replace the cloth.

It avoids sweat building up there and has worked like magic for me.

I’ve used Daktariin gold in the past, canestan doesn’t work.The other thing that works for me is moo goo with marshmallow extract. I have to order it from the Australian website

Had something similar under my breasts a couple of years ago that cleared up by itself. Have just made a doctor appointment for the same situation in groin crease - very red, itchy and damp, and Canesten not really doing the job.

Don't be scared to see your GP. They won't mind at all. This is the sort of thing they deal with all the time. You may need a different antifungal or a swab

Yep and I did go drs and was given a steroid cream for two weeks and for the first time in 2 years been free of it for almost 6months..no problems since with red, sore,itchy, occasionally hot red sores etc...
