Awful sensitivity after dental bridge

I had a fixed dental bridge fitted 6 days ago and an onlay over a broken tooth. I'm now
truggling with horrendous sensitivity when eating or drinking cold things.
I had a canine and a central incisor shaved down and crowned with 2 fake teeth in the middle. They are my top front teeth.
I am using sensitive toothpaste and I understand it should get better but I have read that this is a problem when the dentine is exposed. I also noticed that the fake incisor is fractionally longer than the one on my old Maryland bridge. Less than a mm. It is slightly uncomfortable when chewing.

Do I wait a month and reassess? The sensitivity is getting me down.

I would ring the dentist today and check. Have you tried rapid relief sensitive toothpaste?
