A&E for possible aneurysm.
Hello everyone, my DH is currently at A&E while I wait at home with the DC's. He was sent earlier by 111 due to having low level headaches over the past 10 days or so and then significant double vision over the last 2 days. Of course, I'm absolutely terrified. My husband is just about to have a CT scan without dyes etc and the registrar said that this is the correct text to diagnose an unruptured aneurysm. Are there are any Neurological specialists or Dr's on here thst can reassure me that this is adequate? I'm just nervous as in my limited experience, a CT would not necessarily show enough detail. I would be extremely, extreamly grateful if anyone can help. Thank you in advance.

CT scan is the best for a suspected brain haemorrhage. Really hope he and you are ok x

My mum had ct to confirm when hers had ruptured…they sound like they are being proactive and investigating. Hope he’s ok xx

I hope he’s ok OP. My grandma died from an undiagnosed aneurysm. It sounds like he’s in the right place getting proactive investigations. 💐

I had a CT scan to diagnose my aneurysm. Can't remember if I had dye or not as it was over 30 years ago.
I had surgery the next day, apart from a half shaved hear, all was well.
