Posted on here a few times about thyroid things but curious to know, as I feel like it’s only me - does anyone feel bad with a TSH of below 2? Anything below 2 I feel hyperthyroid and awful! Currently on thyroxine and have been for 5 years now

Same. I thought I would be bouncing around with weight dropping off me and lots of energy. Nope
they can be 1 or 9 and it makes no difference to me

Thyroxine has a long half life, so you can achieve an in between dose by taking the higher and lower dose on alternate days, maybe that would help? Or even just taking the higher dose two days a week.

I’ve been hypothyroid for over 30 years, I’ve had doses ranging from 75 to 250 (currently 150). Every day is a battle, it feels like walking in treacle. I felt better at 250 but they insisted it was too high. My hair falls out, my joints ache, my weight despite exercise and careful eating just goes up …

I've been less than 1 TSH and felt no different. In fact I thought the blood test was going to show I was still hypo and needed putting on a higher dose. Couldn't believe I was now optimal (and nearly too much the other way) and still felt pants. Is this where they start looking at T3 more? To be fair I have slightly low iron and vitamin D so we're working on getting them up to try and address my lack of energy first.

I've taken levothyroxine for more than 35 years. (Subsequent to a sub total thyroidectomy for Graves). 112.5mcg and TSH best about 1.

It's really important to have good vitD levels for levo absorption (100ish); and low iron can make people feel grot.
