worrying moles on my back?

Since being a teen I've developed loads of moles on my back. My mum is very moley all over. I feel like they've got more excessive since having my children?

I went to docs last year and got them checked but it felt rushed and he didn't look under my bra straps (and I was so flustered I didn't think it mention it). I have just taken another comparison photo. the first pic is 3 years ago and the 2nd is today. Any dermatologists out there that can say if any are of concern? I will of course book another mole check with my GP but wanting some reassurance

Are any itching, changed shape or grown? x

There are places you can go for a full body scan of moles. I think its a few hundred pounds but it might be worth it to ease your worry.

I am on a simply health plan, do you know if this would cover something like mole mapping ?

I don't know sorry x

As unfortunately going private would not be an option for me financially, unless covered by simply health which I do have

I don’t see any difference in 3 years, it’s just better lighting

This is what Im finding hard, because I can't keep an eye on my back and my partner doesn't want the responsibility of remembering if one has changed or not, which is why I take pictures but even then it's hard to tell. sometimes I do itch my back but could just be my bra irritating

I think Boots do a mole checking service - but not sure how many they check. Worth a look though x

I am very moley and also noticed an increase during pregnancy. I'm not qualified to say this but in my opinion yours look pretty 'regular' from the photos (actually v similar to mine in placement and variation). Like you, I struggle to properly monitor the ones on my back and I feel it is a lot to ask of someone who isn't a HCP to keep an eye on them. There is a GP at my practice who is a bit of a dermatology expert/has an interest in this. I always go to him with concerns and he will do a referral for any new/changed ones. If in doubt, ask again to be referred to a consultant for a general check of the ones on your back because a) you can't properly monitor them, b) are sure there have been some new ones/changes - that should warrant a further check for your peace of mind, especially if c) it is making you anxious. I don't think NHS do mole mapping anymore but they might do some decent photos for you if you can get seen at a hospital, then you can take those in to the GP if you have future concerns. Hope that helps...try not to let it stress you out. X

Most of them look ok, and I think it's quite normal for moles to multiply during pregnancy - I definitely gained several for each child.

There is one mole that I think has changed shape slightly since the first pic - it seems to have elongated towards its northwest. Nothing too radical, but probably best to have it checked by your GP. I've circled it on your photo.
