Bowel 2 week wait

I've had constipation all my life but lately it's worse and nothing is helping. My stomach is bloated and sore, particularly on my lower right side by my appendix. I did a stool sample and it came positive for blood. Now I have a phone appointment tomorrow morning with colorectal nurse as was referred to the cancer 2 week wait. I'm really nervous. Has anyone experienced this?

Not me but my DH last year. The level of blood in his stool was so high that the GP said he was 90% sure it was cancer. It wasn't although it was close (a large adenoma) and he has to be checked again in 3 years. Most of the time it isn't cancer but the good thing is you are being checked.

I recently had a referral for two week wait for a lump son boob. It was awful, couldn’t eat, sleep and couldn’t switch off from it. Mine was benign after a biopsy but agonising wait! Try not to spend every day on Google, and try switch off til you know something. Best of luck x
