Blood in Urine

Has anyone had a possible water infection, with no stinging and no kidney pain?
My daughter went the toilet Sunday night and had a trace of blood, then again last night where she had a lot of blood come out with wee. We triaged the doctors and she has had an appointment this morning, the sample we took was also full of blood.
The doctor said it could be a possible water infection, but because of her not having lower back pain, only pain in her groin she wasn't sure! She did do a prescription for 3 days of antibiotics and said if there's still blood after these have finished go back. She's still weeing out blood, so I'm obviously concerned 🥲

That's how my UTIs present normally! Don't panic, she is being seen and that's the best thing x

Thank you @FullOfMomsense , I suffer from water infections, but have never had blood in my urine.

Scary when she shows you a photo of a bright red toilet bowl!

It’s scary, but it is likely to be a UTI. I only ever had one, and ended up with 2 lots of antibiotics and a bucket of blood clots (had to pee in a bucket to be able to do sample as it was making me start a panic attack when trying to catch it and just getting blood everywhere)

I hope never ever to have one again. Awful

@Boreded thanks, Im sure it is a water infection. Hopefully we will get results from the sample tomorrow, apart from low down stomach pain she is good in herself

Have they sent away the urine sample for a culture? That'd be the best way to see if bacteria grow.
How old is she? Could it be something hormonal if not? Though would expect that to be more spotting rather than loads of blood.

Hope you get to the bottom of it quickly.

@Melsy88 yes it's been sent away.
The asked if it was her period, but she only finished that last week, plus no blood on her pants etc.

Thank you. It's her 17th Birthday tomorrow!
She does have to have bloods done tomorrow also
