Very Dry feet

Isabella40 · 08/08/2026 17:56

i need recommendations for very dry feet. I’ve tried a few foot creams but they are not doing the trick. Have tried okeefes healthy feet and a cracked heel cream from Tescos. But they still feel very dry.
Can anyone recommend any good foot masks/creams or products to help. Thank you

I’ve been using Foot Mender All in 1 and it’s been really good. It was in one of the boots £10 Tuesday offers so not sure if it’s on offer often there.

Flexitol cured my feet in less than a week. Various concentrations are available. I'd choose 20+.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 08/08/2026 18:03

I use foot packs (boots, b&m etc sell them) and wear the moisturising booties for hours and then rub the remaining lotion into my feet. They are gorgeous afterwards.

I've found CCS to be great,I had a Margaret Dabbs sample that I thought would be amazing but I stopped it and went back to CCS as it was so much better.

Do they need a foot peel thing on them first (not sure of name) but my ds used a peel and then the moisturiser with socks and it took a while but worked. (His feet were troublesome due to work)

Beachbodyready · 08/08/2026 18:18

Zeroderm. I’ve tried all the creams that get recommended on here and either find them too light so I need to reapply cream after about 30mins because my skin feels uncomfortable or too heavy and makes my skin softer but doesn’t relieve the uncomfortable feeling. Zeroderm was a game changer and incredibly cheap. I think I pay £8 for a huge tub that lasts months.

me and dh used a foot peel. Never again. They were hideously flaky for weeks. It was a horrible experience and I couldn’t wear sandals for ages. Not good and it was summer too ☹️

I had awfully dry feet that nothing would help!

This is what I have recently discovered…

A electric foot file:

Followed by this urea cream:
https://amzn.eu/d/02k8z1pH

and get some heel guards to put over the top:

Leave on for a few hours. I do this every evening, after the shower.

I’ve noticed a big improvement in just a few weeks.

Good point about it being summer, ds done his autumn time.

Are you sure it's not something else? I saw a podiatrist, and the dryness is Athlete's Foot apparently-I thought that was red or yelloe, with sore smelly patches, and mine just looks like dry skin, so I'd never have known and got a cream for it if I'd not seen him.

I agree with this, OP! You have to be pretty intense with it. Me and mum get very dry feet and cracked heels and she slathers on foot cream and put socks on overnight. Multiple times a week.

canuckup · 11/08/2026 02:21

Burts Bees shea butter hand repair cream.

It is sold as hand cream but it's amazing on feet.

Beekman · 11/08/2026 02:40

Can you see a foot health practitioner? I see one about once every six weeks and my feet are perfect now, after being very dry and cracked for years. You can try different files and creams but it takes a while to see if any of them work whereas seeing a professional sorts them out straight away. They will also cut your nails and treat any other problems.

chedderland · 11/08/2026 03:43

Something with 25% urea. After a week or so they will be much better.

EleanorMc67 · 11/08/2026 04:45

Agree with all the PPs mentioning creams with urea in them. Anything else is just superficial & wont work long-term, not for really dry sling especially if it's cracked around the heels.

My chiropodist explained the above to me & recommended CCS cream. There's a general footcare one with 10% urea (which I also use on my elbows), & a 25% one for cracked heels.

Totally transformative!!!

I have found that You need to be really regular with foot cream and filing and washing.

The foot peels are fines as a starting point- they work best if you soak your feet for 30 mins each day after you have used it until peeling finishes. I like the oh K! Apple one. This helps them peel more effectively and less annoying small flakes. Once you have down that then you need a daily routine and weekly routine

I wash my feet and scrub heels with nail brush every day
I use urea cream every day at bed time. Tiny amount. Food for hands to.
I file my heels about 4 times a week lightly - more when wearing sandals as it is drying
I lightly file the other areas once per week.
I get a pedicure with polish every 6-8 weeks. My nail tech is brilliant at cutting and shaping nails and gets rid of any potential in growns.

momager22 · 11/08/2026 08:06

I use a 60% urea stick balm from Amazon. Blue and yellow packaging

JustMyView13 · 11/08/2026 10:22

Gycolic Acid 7% (The Ordinary) and 40% Urea cream. Seen lots of derms recommend this.

travailtotravel · 11/08/2026 10:25

I only use Flexitol, and it has to be urea.. i have 30% and a 10%. Put the moisturiser on feet you've just washed slather it on, socks then bed to let it do its magic. If they're super dry it might take a few days abd you'll need the higher one to start.

CoolDipCanineLover · 11/08/2026 11:07

Regular foot soaks, followed by gentle exfoliation. Then apply a decent urea cream, cover in clingfilm then put socks over and leave for an hour or so. I've just started doing this and they are improving.

Don't those foot peel things destroy nail polish?

You would take it off and clean and cut your nails, trim cuticles and wash you feet before putting it on so it would be a problem, no?
