My son was playing with his cousin exactly 9 weeks ago at an all day family event. My sister advised me about a month ago My 21 year old niece had scabies. She also attended the event but we were not really in close contact. My sister told me on Wednesday this week she herself has scabies now and is treating the whole family. Thursday evening as I was bathing my son i noticed that he had about 3 bite like spots on the top of his arms and 2 on his legs. 1 on his belly. I took him to the pharmacist today who said it looks like bites and not scabies. He is also not very itchy. I thought ok, that's good but when I asked my sister what her scabies looked like, she said small bites! She sent a picture and they look like my sons. Now the doctor isn't open till Monday but I go away next Sunday so do i just treat us all with lotion, boil the bedding etc as a precaution? I don't want to use cream unnecessarily but after feeling OK after visiting the pharmacist I am now worried it is scabies. Just asking on here really to get advice from anyone who has had it. I would have visited the dr if it was open but as the cream needs to be done again 7 days later I would need to put it on tonight.
