My partner of a few months found out yesterday that he has scabies. I've had symptoms and didn't realise so knowing this I definitely have them too. I'm going to pharmacy now and plan to funigate my entire home after I get the cream on.

I know this is ridiculous but I previously had a bed bug scare with a flatmate and I suffered mentally for months. Have always been terrified of contracting scabies to the point of a phobia and now it's happened. Just need some advice how to cope?

I've been very anxious lately with other things in life and genuinely don't know how to handle this on top. Work is a major stress so I'm considering asking for a line for work for a week or so to get my head together - is that ridiculous? Sorry I know this isn't life threatening and absolutely worse things can happen but I don't know how to mentally cope. I'm really struggling.

I had scabies last year. It was easily treated, I didn’t fumigate my house. My children chose not to have the treatment & they were fine. The only thing I did differently was use a towel only once before washing it. There was nothing to worry about. It was all okay.
