Hi i went for a diabetes test on tuesday. I did a finger prick test just before i went in and its said my blood sugar levels were 7.7. Just called doctors and they said this was normal! ?/?

This was a fasting blood test.

Anyone have a clue?

Just doesnt sound right to me.

7.7 is slightly high if it was a proper fasting sample. When you say the doctors said it was normal, do you mean they were commenting on your fingerprick test, or on your proper diabetes test (and was that a formal glucose tolerance test?)?

I had this test last year.Fasting then having blood test,Then a sugary drink.Had to go back 2 hours later for another blood test My blood test showed i was pre meltus.Which meant i had to loose some weight and change my life style or i would develope diabetus sooner or later. My result was 8.7.They didnt seem overly concerned. They just said to see the nurse about advice how to eat healthy etc.
