I have been felling so tired and ill for a hile recently, it has been getting worse and I reached the point where I was struggling to stay awake all day and sleeping 12 hours at bight, ayway, on Mon or tues on the advice of mners I got some iron tonic as well as eating lot of iron rich foods.
Last night I was out and didn't go to beduntil midnight, today I feel great, not just OK but actualy great.
I had all my bloods taken at the docs yesterday but I was wondering if it was anemia would I feel better this quick?

I think it could well work that fast - your body is making new red blood cells all the time, so it would have started using the extra iron you gave it straight away. And as soon as the new red blood cells are made they are straight out into your blood supply and whizzing to your head and muscles. Glad you're feeling perkier!

lets hope so if your cell count was really really low then I sudden injection of iron would make a huge difference I think! I told you floradix was great stuff!

you often feel better very soon after taking iron supplements if you are iron deficient, because the body nicks all the iron from the muscles when it is running low. stores in the muscles replenish early on when you start taking iron.

which, i have just realised, is the same, but less eloquently put, than amuminscotland said!

Car girl, you were right, I am still awake even though dd1 is in preschool and dd2 is asleep, I don't actually even feel like a nap. Sopmetimes it is really hard to see how simple the solution really is, another good side effect is I am now addicted to spinach.
