Hi, looking for some advice.
I have had an enlarged tonsil since the start of 2024 after a sore throat, in particular on the side that is bigger. I've been to the drs a few times and they gave me antibiotics and then said sometimes tonsils can take a while to go back to normal and sometimes they end up staying bigger.
I've been getting food trapped in it recently so went back today to a different drs as have 🙂↔️ fed to a new area and he had a look and felt my neck, didn't feel any lymph nodes but thinks the tonsil may have a polyp on it so has referred me to ent but just on the normal waiting list which in my area is around 90 weeks 😩 I've to go back to him in three months just to make sure nothing has changed.
I guess I'm wondering whether I should be worrying about this and try and push to be seen sooner/look at going private or be reassured that he really isn't worried about it.
