Mirtazapine no longer helping, what alternatives might a GP suggest?

I've been on matazapine for years but I don't think they are working for me any more.so need to go back to the doctor's to ask for something different but not sure what he will change me too

Depending upon what dose you are on that may need adjusting(if you are not currently on the max dosage) if you are then Fluoxetine(brand name Prozac) or sertraline are the 2 most likely options to replace your current med

I've just lost my brother so I'm kind of struggling to eat drink feel sleepy shakey aches in arms legs anxiety in my throat etc.

Sertraline works well for me. Sorry for your loss op.

When I lost my mum I had to up my dose for 6 months and then slowly lower it again and the same when I lost my friend.
