Herpes???

Last Friday I thought I was developing a nasty bout of thrush following treatment for a uti, I was very itchy and took a thrush tablet and pessary, then on Tuesday when I went got a wee my vulva and bum was burning, I went and got a mirror to find sores down below, (strangely mainly round the back)I've got a appt at the sexual health clinic tomorrow (earliest I could get) but I'm freaking out, I've been with my husband 11 years and haven't had sex for a while due to recovering from a surgery!! I feel really vile atm and it's really uncomfortable.

Random question. Have you recently been taking antibiotics? Specifically, but not limited to penicillin? I had a reaction like this that my doctor swore was Herpes and that they had never been wrong in their millions of years of practice. I insisted on cultures and it came back negative. It turned out that I had what is known as a Fixed Drug Reaction. (And recently experienced again as I had forgotten which medication had caused it the first time.) Fixed Drug Reaction
Either way, I recommend either seeing your GP or going to a sexual health clinic and ask for cultures while you’re symptomatic.

Herpes can lie dormant in your system then when you are exhausted and run down your csn have a breakout and feel horrendous. Apparels of adults carry the virus unknowingly- get yourself check and don't feel awkward. Good luck OP and hope you don't feel lousy
