Discomfort in chest

A couple of weeks ago I had quite a severe pain in my chest. It was constant but other than the pain I had no other symptoms. For full disclosure I have a heart arrhythmia but at the moment it doesn’t cause any issues.

The day after, the pain was intermittent but worse when I ate. It felt like heartburn. I suffered with heartburn and reflux during pregnancy but it would always be a short while after eating. The discomfort is as I am actually eating and is just under my breast bone.

It has been a couple of weeks now. Has anyone got any ideas of what it could be? I’ll book an appointment with my GP but that will likely be a few weeks away. I am 42 and not overweight.

Thanks

I saw a Dr post about this type of pain.
Try DrZacSpiritos on insta he's a consultant gastro doctor. He made a video about MALS. (it's the video he made wearing a stripy tshirt).

Are your symptoms anything like this - it could be that, worth checking with your GP anyway.

It’s probably your heart or a digestive issue. With your background, you should have gone to A & E two weeks ago. No one on here can tell you what’s wrong with you. Don’t wait for a GP appointment go to A & E.

Are you dehydrated? If I go too long without drinking enough I start to feel chest pains that are constant until I drink enough and include electrolytes.
