Private insomnia clinic recommendations in London while waiting for NHS referral?

Partner is having the worst insomnia ever, he has hardly slept for the past 3 weeks since he came out of hospital for it (long running sleep and other health issues). He has been referred to an insomnia clinic by his GP but the wait is 12 months, as his case has been marked as urgent the earliest they can do is January!

I've looked at private like The Sleep centre and Better Sleep but they have mixed reviews. I don't know which is a good clinic that will solve the issue? And it's so expensive! We would look at Harley street but again I don't know which to choose.

Any reccs would be greatly appreciated! We are London/SE based.

I've had insomnia for a year. The not getting to sleep until 6am type (I know there are many causes and manifestations). My local NHS signed me up for an online app called Silver Cloud - it's not fixed the problem completely but it has definitely helped. Might it be worth a try while your DH is waiting?

It might be a good idea to find a private clinical psychologist, one local to you. Word of mouth is good or you can ask your GP for recommendations. There is a special type of CBT for insonnia, CBT-I, and an accompanying app called Sleepio. The app isn’t 100% necessary but the tailored CBT for insomnia has excellent clinical evidence.

Have you watched the sleep clinics videos? They in themselves are really helpful.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've told him about the apps and I'm looking for a private clinical psychologist in my area. I don't know what else to do right now.
