What is current MN thinking - leave alone, cream or honey ? dd has a cluster around inside of her elbow. ds' went spontaneously when he had c'pox

Watching with interest. DD2 has it on inside of forearm. Friend who is GP said it is a virus, leave it alone and eventually it will go away.
They seem to pop and then go but are leaving a bit of a scar.Hoping it will fade.

For us it was leave alone. After a few months they seemed to go a bit odd and then just went. The few that he picked have left little chicken pox type scars.

DumbledoresGirl · 25/06/2008 21:26

My dd had this and I did not know for sure what they were and left them alone but I noticed that dd scratched at them and they disappeared soon afterwards.

Later, taking dd to the doctor with another condition, I mentioned this and he said that it is common for the molluscum to go when scratched/rubbed etc.

My ds is covered with them, and I HATE them, he keeps reinfecting himself, arm to body back again, and again, and again.

COMFREY CREAM

don't put it on open skin or scratched lumps

Boyswillbeboys · 25/06/2008 21:38

My DS's both had them, GP said to do nothing and they did go eventually - took about a year though! They seemed to go a bit scabby and red before they finally went. Looked horrid but didn't seem to bother the boys at all. DS2 has a few little scars on insides of arms but they seem to be going.

dd had them for about a year - all cleaed up now. Leave them well alone -do not pick or else they will scar. dd had one on her hip that was really bad because of the sit obviously would rub if she lay on her side sleeping and was also just on her knicker line and this has left quite a nasty scar -still pink almost a year on. The others that she had have either not scarred or are very small and pale like chicken pox scars.

oops site not sit
