Constant dizziness/feeling groggy

Jellybean1994 · 12/07/2026 14:52

I am 3 months PP and for just over week now I’ve been experiencing a kind of constant feeling like I’m hungover (a bit lightheaded and dizzy). This started the day prior to my period and I was on iron tablets during pregnancy not sure is this is relevant.

I have been to the GP and have a blood test on Thursday.

Anyone experienced similar and if so what was wrong?

Solidarity. I’ve had this for about a year since I stopped breastfeeding. I’ve had every test under the sun and the doctors have no clue

I have this too. And I have iron overload so not related to low iron levels.

no idea what it is and no test showed anything.

hope you feel better soon

It’s driving me insane, my eyes feel quite heavy as well! I feel like I’m almost in a bit of a daze. I wonder if it’s linked to iron but who knows I guess il see what the blood test reveals!

I recognise the feeling of being in a daze, it’s horrible so sorry you are suffering. I have had a full blood count, thyroid check, vitamin b12 and iron, ferritin and vit d, ECG and blood pressure and all good rather than fine so who knows

I've been suffering with this for over 18 months after a particularly nasty viral infection where my ears were literally bubbling inside. I've had every check under the sun - more or less the same as @Byron1990and have been through the syncope clinic with the 24/7 blood presssure monitor on etc. had them do the (can't remember name) manoeuvre to try and move the crystals in my ears but I'm still feeling like I'm falling when moving my eyeballs up from a screen. It's so debilitating. The daze feeling I can totally relate to. I have an appointment with ENT in August so hoping they can shine a light on it as I'm fed up of my brain being in this state. Please update if either of you can? (I don't know whether I originally had Covid and will never know, but one GP did suspect that) I'll try and remember to update post Aug appt.

This is interesting @abracadabra1980 i also had an awful bout of Covid at the same time and was really unwell for about two weeks, perhaps a presentation of long covid. I miss feeling well

abracadabra1980 · 18/07/2026 22:07

@Byron1990me too. It's debilitating. I'll try and update post ENT appointment. I feel like I have another ear infection/cold brewing now with mild eye and facial pain 😞

So sorry you are feeling this way too! Mine has kind of warn off now, I am waiting for my bloods to come back but I don’t feel as bad. I think mine was either linked to blood pressure or hormones!

I hope you get some answers soon, honestly an awful feeling!
