I suffer sometimes and so does my ds who is now nearly 7. I rub on vaseline which seems to help loads and I have also cut out shampoos/soaps with sulfar lauryl sulfate in, which is most of them to be honest and get all my stuff from health shop I use Jason now and would never go back even if we didn't suffer with dry skin.

I use emollient, or sudocreme if it gets really sore and weepy.

Will look out for Jason Furball- is that from a health shop?

Furball · 25/06/2008 18:53

yes it is jimjams, I'm lucky to have an independant one that is so helpful and knowledgable. I use the glycerine and rosewater satin shower stuff - seems expensive at about £7 or £8 but lasts for at least 4/5 months for 3 of us as you only use a teeny bit at a time. It will also make a good bubble bath. I also use the same flavour in their face and handwash and then I slather body lotion all over me as well.

anyway, haven't see you for yonks - hows tricks? just had a shufty at your profile your ds1 has come on loads.

Thanks furball - I'll look into that. DS3 and dh have super sensitive skin....

Climbing definitely has come on- he's a nightmare We've starrted a very (potentially) exciting new venture with him (teaching him to type) but that's way off topic Hope things are good for you.....

DS gets it too. I use Aquaphor and it is magic. Also, I have to be very careful about drying behind his ears after baths and swimming.

I would use a dad of elizabeth arden 8 hour cream!! I use this for EVERYTHING Tube is v v expensive but it does seem to work
