Medication for Anxiety from IBS-D?

Long term sufferer of IBS-D and the anxiety it causes in daily life. Recently (past 12 months!) getting worse again and I'm having to make excuses to miss work and school events.

I have minor panic attacks if I'm travelling or trapped somewhere without toilet access. Even though my symptoms are not constant they are unpredictable so every scenario I worry there is a risk.

Does anyone take Anxiety medication for this problem?

Dr Google suggests Tricyclic over SSRI medication. I have taken a number of SSRIs in the past for depression (linked to this health issue) but I don't really want to take them again due to side effects. I'm not sure if they made much difference as at the time I rarely left the house.

I am the same but seem to be a little better if traveling alone. Sorry I can't help. It is awful isn't it. I wish I could I be normal like everyone else and not worry about it constantly.
