I havent had a mole that looks like that but I have had basal cell carcinoma and a malignant melanoma that needed surgeries. So I have researched skin cancers a lot.

Noone can diagnose from a picture. Experts cannot even definitively diagnoise suspect moles using a dermascope, non suspect seem clear though. The only way to know is if it seems odd/suspicious get an expert to review, that is what your referal is for. If the expert is suspicious or unsure then it is a biopsy. Only after the biopsy will you know if there is an issue or not.

As mentioned I have had moles referred that the dermatologist has instantly dismissed, ones that have been biopsied and no issues, one that have been biopsied and were skin cancer.

So you need to just keep calm as possible and wait until you know. Nothing you do now will improve anything, worrying making your life worse. If it is a skin cancer the treatments are so much more effective than even 5 years ago and the prognoisis is generally very good.

I understand the panic but genuinely speaking from experience you just have to wait.

Sorry double posting but I remembered do have one somewhat similar...this was a little while ago and i was referred 2 week pathway. Dermotologist checked with dermascope and was told absolutely fine no biopsy necessary. But as previous post noone can diagnose from pictures it great foxtors are being cautious.

Yes ive posted a picture of it. It was deemed completely fine after being checked by dermatology.

I've just seen your posting history and it is clear you have severe health anxiety so I won't be posting further as nothing I say will help you, I believe it will only feed your anxiety and make you worse. I wish you luck in dealing with your anxiety.Flowers
