Coated tongue despite good oral hygiene, any ideas or tips?

Sensitive image of my sticking out tongue!
I struggle with a coated tongue but I have no idea why. Health is good, oral hygiene is good.
I have to scrape it which makes me physically sick and so is ineffective.
Does anyone know why it happens and have any tips?

Have you been tested for things like thrush?

has the dentist /hygienist mentioned what can be causing this?

in the meantime, i’ve read green tea is very good for oral hygiene/gum health.

Check your toothpaste to see if it contains SLS, a foaming agent. Some people react to it.

Otherwise have a look at your diet. Do you get indigestion or reflux?

Thanks everyone. Dentist just says to scrape. No soreness, no reflux. No issues!
