Dc had GF last year and was badly affected by the aftermath, including depression and very enlarged apleen. She has returned home from uni and is in a lot of pain from her spleen. Does she need to go to the GP, or isit still just rest and convalescence ?

That's really interesting. I had that and was advised 6 months to recover but a year in, it's still uncomfortable. I'd have a chat with the GP. They may want to scan to see if anything else is going on.

Yes take her to the GP. My spleen took ages to go down when I had it at her age. They did another scan to check but could feel it. I had to avoid contact sports for quite a long time (not that I did any anyway).

What can they do?

i don’t know, they couldn’t do anything for me. They may run some more blood tests just to check nothing else is going on with her immune system
