Poo sample storage

Im not a poo troll I promise!

I've been given by my GP two sample bottles to collect for a Fit test and calprotectin.

I had to do the samples this evening as I have been suffering with constipation and don't know when I'll next manage to pass anything.

Can I keep them somewhere cool
in the house. I do not want to store them in the fridge unless I have no other choice. Im going to drop them off first thing.

They should be in the fridge yes

Yes fridge.

Ensure the lid is screwed on tight. Wrap in some paper if you want to hide the contents and then put into a zip lock freezer bag and yes in the fridge- not freezer.

Ugh I really didn't want to store in the fridge! I did them two hours ago will it be ok to put them in there now

Better in there now than not at all. Just put them inside a container or bag so you don’t have to look at them.

They're now in a ziplock bag hidden at the bottom of the fridge yum!
